The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway, the parking brake had unintentionally activated, causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the transmission shifter cable bushing had failed, causing the shifter cable to detach. The vehicle was not yet repaired.
