Summary
Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Digger Derrick vehicles. An improperly seated retaining ring may cause the hydraulic cylinder to lose pressure, resulting in unintended boom movement.
How to resolve this:
Dealers will replace the counterbalance valves, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 13, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3223.
What happens if you don't resolve this:
Unintended boom movement increases the risk of injury.
